California

The family is taking a trip down to California later this month and luck would have it that there is a paintball game going on right around where we will be staying!

End War is the scenario my dad and I will be attending. It sounds like a blast and will be a good way to transition out of summer and into fall.

Our bi-weekly paintball games have ended for the season and will likely start up again in March or April. Until then we just have End War and the possibility of another small event or two before Supergame next spring.

As far as Supergame goes our local recruitment has been going fairly well. We have touched base with all the teams that fought with us at SGXL but with Chris' new business most of the heavy recruitment will likely happen next year when things have settled down.

Hopefully everyone else is out there having a good time.

Fun Time with Friends

This time around I brought out a few friends who had never been to a big paintball game before. They LOVED Supergame and are planning on coming out again in May. Here are some pictures of us being awesome Friday before the night game.

The Big Day

Tomorrow is the big day. Chris, Steve, and David are gonna kick us off by heading out around 8am with the rest of us following around noon. The whole of Eagle Squad should be at the field, setup, and ready to mingle around 3pm. Our booth will be setup and running throughout Friday probably up until the Feast Friday night.

Hope everyone is packed and otherwise well prepared. This weekend should be a lot of fun!

See you all on the field.

Lending a Hand

Just got back from the field where Chris, Jesse, and I helped a little in getting it ready for Supergame XL next weekend. We brought a couple machetes so Dan had us walk through all the trails and hack/slash the encroaching weeds and bushes. Many of the trails were still in great shape save for a few hanging sticker bushes. We also took some time and made a few new trails and connected some existing trails; mainly up around BB Hill. A lot of time was also spent around the "new" Hideout (same place as in May) knocking down some of the tall grass and adding a couple more paths from the Jager Beach side towards the flag.

Also, we got a chance to see the newly added "Command Posts". Both Yellow and Red have a netted area at a specific location along the perimeter of the DMZ. It sounds like rockets wont be able to destroy them but that fire can be exchanged between those inside the fort and those outside. There are a few slits cut in the netting at different places along the fort that would work well for defenders to stick out their barrels and let an approaching force have it.

Hope to see everyone out there in 5 days (can you believe it?!).

Countdown to Supergame

Supergame XL is just over a week away! I cant believe how close it is getting. This Sunday we will be having another game over in Rainier which will be our last chance to get out and practice/test gear before the big weekend.

There are still tons of things for us to do including finalizing gear setups, deciding on carpool arrangements, working out how to operate our booth this time around, and also finding out exactly how many people we are bringing with us!

Right now it looks like we will be bringing quite a bit of gear to fill out our booth. Hopefully we will also be able to work some trades during the now biannual EdgeZer0 Supergame Swap Meet.

Hope to see everyone out and about next weekend!

Crossfire July 10th

Yesterday we made it out to Crossfire's field to play a few hours of paintball. We all had a blast and enjoyed playing on a new field. Chris sat out one of the games and went around taking pictures. Here are some of the pics he took:

Paintball Pictures July 3

Last Saturday David and I attended another one of my friend Michael's pickup games. My friend Josef's wife was taking pictures most of the day; here are some of us.
